About JAJA

JA are my initials: Julie Albert

JA means yes in Dutch: say (double) yes to life!

JAJA is some sort of stopword in Dutch: We tend to mumble 'ja ja' when a conversation feels heavy. We also use it when we don't know what to say or when we want to fill an uncomfortable silence.

JAJA means grandma in several languages: our vibe & approach will be as soft, gentle, kind, safe, nurturing,... like a granny does!

I can think of many reasons why I wanted to start this platform. As a professional & a member of this society I felt it was my duty to start doing things differently.

I was on a quest to find like-minded professionals with the same mission in life so we could bind our forces to provide proper holistic care.

There are a lot of gaps & contradictions within our current healthcare system.

A system that is up until this day very fragmented & one-sighted. People are running from one specialist to another where they often feel unseen & unheard.

Our system embodies a symptom dulling approach instead of taking the time to look for root causes & ways to approach them.

People are bombarded with too many options & feel overwhelmed on where they should even start their journey. Not knowing where to go is not only exhausting, but also very unmotivating. This leaves people stuck in their current situation.

Technology & innovation are a characteristic of our time, but why does it feel like we still miss the boat on providing proper care? How else could it be when the rates of burn-out, anxiety, depression, syndromes & chronic health issues are shooting through the roof? What does that tell us about our society & the way we approach sickness & health?

Shouldn’t we rethink, re-evaluate & restructure our system in the way we view, address & treat illnesses?

Being & feeling healthy has a; cultural, social, physical, psychological, political, economical & spiritual component.

All of this in the context of how people give meaning to it, deal with it & what they need in order to experience wellbeing.

We are all unique, not only because of our differences,

but also because of the meaning that we give to our health, suffering & our story.

"One of a kind"

"JAJA came into my life by sheer luck, while I was an inpatient at a recovery center in South Africa, an especially vulnerable time of my life. JAJA shifted my whole experience substantially. JAJA offered an unexpected amount of invaluable encouragement, emotional support & stellar advice. Purity, honesty, kindness & authenticity I had not yet received in the 6 months I was there. It truly felt like a blessing having her at the site. I remember an instantaneous elevator in my spirits upon her arrival & I must admit it was a genuine pleasure to be able to discover her charming, light-hearted & helpful nature. I was very grateful to receive the oodles of wisdom she had to offer. If you are truly looking for help you can count on her to deliver results in a unique, reassuring & comforting environment. One of a kind!"
